Cursory Thoughts On Shamati, “Joy With A Quiver”

Dr. Michael LaitmanIn truth, the upper Light, the Creator, is revealed in a quiver. I restrict my desire to receive pleasure and fear that the Light will be revealed while I won’t be able to hold back this desire and will want to receive the Light.

Shamati, Joy with a Quiver

Thus, by trying to restrain myself, on one hand, I feel my desire, but on the other, I sense the screen and exist in a tension between the two, which is called a quiver. To the extent that I am able to restrain myself, I strengthen my vessel—and the Light can become revealed.
