New Research Says Climate Change Is Not Caused By Human Activity

activityIn the News (translated from RSCI): New research conducted at the Institute of Geography at the Russian Academy of Sciences shows that changes in the global climate that took place during the 20th century were due to natural causes. The Earth’s system continues to operate according to its natural laws and human society should consider the current global warming as a natural occurrence and not one caused by human activity.

My Comment: Everything comes from Above. The world is managed from Above and does not at all depend on what we do here on Earth. Everything depends on the goal that we have to reach – complete harmony between ourselves and the Creator, and how far we are relative to this goal.

We can influence the higher Management of this world only through the intention to become like It. In fact, everything that we perceive as negative events, forces or situations is part of the essence that motivates us internally and externally toward the attainment of the integral force of Nature.

The Banks Steal Money While The Government Covers For Them

outlaws1In the News (from The Washington Post):U.S. Weighs Single Agency to Regulate Banking Industry” Senior administration officials are considering the creation of a single agency to regulate the banking industry… Under the current system, banks can choose their regulator.

Because the OCC, OTS and FDIC are funded by fees from the banks, the regulators have an incentive to compete for business by offering more lenient oversight. The system also divides supervision of the largest financial conglomerates among multiple agencies, each with responsibility for certain subsidiaries, creating gaps in coverage that companies have exploited.

My Comment: There is no other solution but to create an international coalition of financial bodies. However, the petty human ego will not allow people to realistically accept this alternative as the way out of the crisis.

Decision To Shut Johnnie Walker Bottling Plant Causes Huge Protest

all-the-worlds-wise-people-are-in-a-crisisIn the News (from The Telegraph): “More than 20,000 take to streets to protest Johnnie Walker plant closure” Thousands of people took to the streets yesterday to protest a decision by Diageo, the drinks giant, to shut its Johnnie Walker bottling plant. The firm has announced that it will close the plant in the [Scottish] town, which has been linked with Johnnie Walker since 1820, with the loss of 700 jobs.

My Comment: The number of people wishing to drink whiskey hasn’t decreased, but people’s money has! Now the plant workers will have less money too. Thus, the crisis goes on…

The Worst Of The Crisis Is Still Ahead, Warns WTO Chief

wordsIn the News (from The Raw Story):Worst of social, political crisis ahead: WTO chief” The worst social and political effects of the economic crisis are “still to come,” WTO [World Trade Organization] chief Pascal Lamy said Tuesday, warning these could push countries deeper into trade protectionism.

My Comment: Because the foundation of human nature is egoism, people naturally think that the antidote to the crisis is to separate from others and care for oneself, no matter how harmful the consequences might be later on. People are unable to see beyond their egoistic vision, and thus they drag themselves into greater collapse.

We Are Free To Change Our Destiny

nirvana-and-games-with-the-leviathan-are-ahead-of-usA question I received: Our family often watches your programs. My wife says that you often contradict yourself, even during the same program. For instance, in one of the “Ask the Kabbalist” episodes, you categorically denied that Kabbalists engage in predicting the future of our corporeal bodies. But later, in the same program, you said that in the 1930s Baal HaSulam predicted two world wars. This relates to corporeal matters, doesn’t it? My wife wants to know why is it that you always contradict yourself?

My Answer: What I meant is that Kabbalists know the way the future will come from Above, or in other words, what will happen if things advance along the path called Beito, meaning “in due time,” or when things follow the unchanging, rigid laws of nature. However, when we make corrections, we shift to the path called Ahishena, and thus we affect how these forces will manifest in our world and how they will be expressed inside us.

To the extent we correct ourselves and understand things better, we will feel good instead of bad. But no Kabbalist, or anyone else for that matter, can ever know how anything will actually turn out, because man has freedom of will to change his destiny. (See Baal HaSulam’s article, “The Freedom.”)

If you read the terrible prophecies of the future, keep in mind that the prophets were describing only the path of Beito. They did not know how corrected we will be, and therefore, how we will handle certain situations.

Spiritual Correction Happens From The Inside Out

outA question I received: Kabbalists say that by making inner corrections, we also correct our externality. But can we advance this entire process by making external (physical) efforts?

My Answer: External efforts can trigger the internal corrections, but the actual correction happens from the inside out. Much can be learned from this rule. The key is not to try to correct the world, but to correct yourself.

You have to understand that Kabbalah does not oblige you to do anything. It only reveals the internality of things to you, and if you desire to use this knowledge, you will be able to correct yourself. By acting externally, you can only acquire other people’s desires, but not their corrections.

You Don’t Need “Treatment With Death” To Feel Eternity And Perfection

how-do-you-avoid-becoming-relaxed-on-the-pathIn the News (translated from Pravda.ru):New method of treatment makes a patient fly away” A new method of medical treatment is introduced at an oncological hospital … The method is called tanatotherapy, according to Regnum news agency. The notion of tanatotherapy is translated from Latin as treating with death (“tanatos” – death). The new method is based on the effect than psychological influences can have on humans.  Doctors use special techniques to affect a person’s muscles in order to make a patient relax as much as possible. …the method allows a patient to forget about his or her troubles and problems, helps to relieve pain and even inspire an individual to more effectively deal with a most depressing situation.

My Comment: This “treatment with death” makes people less afraid of living because they stop fearing death. However, Kabbalah offers something even better: not just a feeling of comfort that will make it easier for you to go through life and to depart from it, but on the contrary, it opens up your feelings and enables you to reveal both worlds, this one and the hidden, spiritual world. You are able to reveal them completely, and this gives you the opportunity to attain the best thing possible – the feeling of eternity and perfection, due to your equivalence to the Creator.

And to do this, you don’t have to go into states of unconsciousness, but on the contrary, you feel your existence to the fullest, and your sensations keep growing at every moment!

Why The Stages Of Spiritual Development May Feel Like a Roller Coaster Ride

stagesA question I received: I have been a student for about seven months, and it has been an emotional roller coaster. I feel good and then I feel bad. I am immersing myself more into study and dissemination and I feel like I am becoming a different person, but it seems that it is affecting me more and more in a negative way. For example, I am constantly evaluating myself and seeing how my ego seems to be growing. I am also becoming judgmental of other people. I am beginning to see how their ego is ruling their actions. I am becoming angry at my ego and I am angry at other people for their ego, even though I know I have no right to judge others and should only work on myself.

I don’t know what to do at this point. I feel angry, emotionally exhausted, and unhappy, which is the opposite of what I am supposed to be. I am supposed to feel bestowal from the Creator.

My Answer: You are going through a period of growth of your egoistic desire. Inside of this desire, you will then start perceiving new pictures of the world and different connections between things. Be strong, don’t break the routine studies and unity with the group. Then you will quickly go through this period of accumulating the egoistic desire. Every step forward always consists of two parts: the growth of the egoistic desire (what you are going through now), and then the revelation of a new attainment inside it.

Families Asked To Stockpile Food In Anticipation Of A Serious Food Shortage Worldwide

bottomIn the News (from Eurasianet.org):Tajikistan: President Rahmon warns of food shortages” Tajik President Imomali Rahmon is calling on families to stockpile food, due to the Central Asian nation’s deepening economic woes. Food shortages are “becoming a serious problem” and stocks lasting two years should be built by those who can afford it, Rahmon said in an address carried by the Khovar state news agency. “As a result of the [global financial] crisis, and due to various natural disasters, drought, shortages and other factors, the provision of food in many countries around the world is becoming a serious problem, and according to expert analysis, this process will continue in the future,” he said.

My Comment: Overall, this would seem like a sensible decree. Even if the next few years won’t be very tough, people will have to tighten their belts in later years.

Kabbalah agrees that a person should not put the burden of his sustenance on society’s shoulders. However, the above-cited measures are unlikely to help. The reason Nature (or the Creator) is treating us this way is to force us to come to the realization that we must change our relationships with each other from hate to love.
