A question I received: Many people today feel a sense of desolation that is not related to their lack of material possessions. What does a person feel in such a state? What questions about life does he ask himself?

My Answer: Every person wants to be safe, healthy and live a normal life. This necessity, along with its various internal and external fears and anxieties, is understood by all. Because our egoism prefers to avoid the problem, people try to calm themselves down. This is why, as we are seeing today, people either don’t want to talk about the crisis or they announce that it’s already behind us.

A person who experiences desolation asks himself whether tomorrow will be worse than today. Today, he is surviving somehow, but what about tomorrow? He is afraid of losing that which is his; he lives in fear of forthcoming losses.

The one who is employed fears losing his job. The one who already lost his job is dependent on the national welfare system. If the government runs out of money tomorrow, there will be no welfare system, as the system does not have a bottomless supply of funds. Where will the money come from to provide for all?

A few more thousand will be fired, the process will extend another few months and that’s it; the money will run out! What will we do? How do we feed ourselves, how do we pay for things? No one knows what will happen.

All of these questions are of great concern to society, but governments and the media are not addressing them. Another few months will go by and concealing the situation will become impossible; everything will come out in the open. Unrest is already flaring up in various places. What will it all lead to? Something unimaginable.

This is why the world needs the science of Kabbalah. Against the background of all these problems, people must know that there is a solution. The only solution can be found in the science of Kabbalah. For now, it’s fine if they just hear about it in a vague, concealed form. But when the blows hit, this information will suddenly become clear.

A question I received: Could we say that the great Kabbalists, who created a connection between the Creator and the created being and wrote books for us, created the method called a Torah?

My Answer: These great Kabbalists wrote books for us. However, they  are not actually books,  but rather a revelation of the connection between us and the Creator. The Kabbalists gave us an opportunity to grab onto this connection through letters and words, which are written down on sheets of paper; in this manner we can take part in this connection.

After all, what is a book and what are the words written in it? We don’t know what it is. Like infants, we touch something. And Kabbalists arranged it so that when we come into contact with a book, wishing to be connected to them through it, we use the force that they created through the connection between them.

It is true that they created the Torah through this. After all, the Torah is actually given to us to correct egoism precisely through these Kabbalists and the special souls who prepared for us this opportunity: their connection. If it weren’t for their actions, we would not be able to achieve our correction on our own, which is the connection between us.  Without the actions of the Kabbalists, we would not be able to rouse the reforming Light.

A simple physical law is in action: if you have the quality of bestowal, Light shines on you; if you do not have the quality of bestowal, Light does not shine on you.

Therefore, it is necessary to understand that without the revelation of the science of Kabbalah in the books, and without studying it, a person will not be able to rouse the reforming Light. He can try to fix his relationships with other people, wishing to build his wonderful world, but he will not receive the force of Light, the force of correction. One needs to be connected to a system that uses authentic books, a group, an understanding, and a connection according to the recommendations of Kabbalists. Otherwise, it is impossible to reach correction.

In the News (from ScienceDaily): “Discovery May Provide New Treatments For Alcohol Dependence” – Researchers at the Sahlgrenska Academy, Gothenburg, have discovered a new brain mechanism involved in alcohol addiction involving the stomach hormone ghrelin. When ghrelin’s actions in the brain are blocked, alcohol’s effects on the reward system are reduced. It is an important discovery that could lead to new therapies for addictions such as alcohol dependence.

In the News (from HealthDay): “Gene Variant Tied to Severity of Drinking” – A variation in one gene may explain why some people are more heavily dependent on alcohol than are others.

My Comment: There is a system, which precedes genes or parents, and it defines all “good” and “bad” inclinations in each person. These adjectives are in quotes because everything is according to “the plan,” we just have to correct ourselves by education at any stage of life (by parents and by society from childhood on through the rest of one’s life). This is what Kabbalah does to a person because Kabbalah alters human genes! It is not education itself that does it, but by studying Kabbalah, the force of Ohr Makif is drawn, which changes human nature.

A question I received: What is the purpose of your attempts to unite people?

My Answer: With Lego blocks, each piece has a number of pins to fit with other pieces. The more pins the pieces have, the more compatible their form, and the more sophisticated their potential combinations can be.

This model shows how we, through everything we’re doing, are trying to develop an efficient identity that will fit the maximum number of people, without obstructing their “lower level” identities, such as nationality, religion, etc.

A question I received: How can people determine what is a necessity today?

My Answer: The level of necessity of today is a medium level of well-being in the place where a person is living. There are many methods of verifying the actual mean level. Baal HaSulam covers that in detail in the article The Future Generation. He refers to creation of all kinds of committees that would check the actual needs of every person, and fulfill them.

All of that is measured according to the needs of an average person. Let’s say that each family must have a room for each of its members. Each person must have a job. The family must have a car to get to and from work and for other needs. All of that is determined in accordance with changes that occur in the world. Notwithstanding, a family must have everything it needs to exit normally.

As a matter of fact, the problem is not what you have, but your attitude towards it. After all, the Creator doesn’t want you to suffer. The purpose of creation is to delight the creatures. Therefore, you confine your earthly life to the needs of your physical body – no more and no less.

You have to fill your desires for food, sex, family, wealth, honor, power and knowledge. You should feel no lack in those desires, and they should be filled to the measure that is an essential necessity for the life of your animal body. Anything that is beyond a necessity should be used to bestow to your fellow man.

In the News (from The Big Money): “A Stimulus Won’t Save Us Now” The World Bank report confirms what some had already feared—there is “little hope that the [developing world] countries will provide the spark for the global economic engine,”… Reuters quotes the World Bank report as saying that “the prospects for the global economy remain ‘unusually uncertain.’…”There is a moment where you can’t spend anymore and you can’t accumulate any more debt. I think we are at that moment,” European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet said on Sunday, warning that governments will have to now start paying down the massive deficits they’ve created rather than look to stimulus spending.

My Comment: But how can we pay down the debts without relying on the printing press?  We are at an impasse!

A question I received: What will people feel when the Creator reveals Himself between them?

My Answer: Imagine being a day-old baby.  Your first sensation is that someone is taking care of you. It’s a similar feeling, as there is someone big that treats you with kindness, care, tenderness, and warmth. You are unable to understand Him, but you are completely in His power.  You know that it’s Him and no other that cares for you, and provides you with all the good things.

Gradually, the whole of humanity will begin to feel the caring and governing influence of the Upper force – the only one in the world. They will feel that they reside inside this single Force, desire, program.

We have only one critical point, of which King David wrote in Psalms.  He did not know why we are given it. This is the rift between what exists eternally (“yesh mi yesh“) and existence out of absence (“yesh mi eiyn“). From that vantage point a person can already be outside of himself and observe the Creator’s actions as well as his own. A person will then exist in the sensation of the spiritual and attain, within his heart and not his reason, that he is united with the entire system. He will feel his fellow men not as strangers, but truly as his close friends.

There is only one creation – the desire to fill oneself with the Creator – divided into billions of partial souls. With their corrected souls, Kabbalists of the past developed a system, by which we can receive the correcting Light. In order to receive it, we must:

• Attempt to rise above our egoism through unity with others; and
• Strive to receive the correcting Light through studying their books.

In the midst of seven billion souls there exist special souls, which create a connection among them; these are the souls of Kabbalists.  By existing within the overall system of souls, as if raisins in cereal, they create a connection among themselves, which allows for Light to flow between them.

By desiring to bond ourselves to these higher souls and by reading what they wrote, we aspire to become like them. As a result, their Light also influences us and without the desire for the bonding, the Light cannot be revealed in us. A simple physical law operates here: without the connection, you cannot receive.

But since this system already has such souls that have united with each other, anyone who desires to unite with them and possesses the external means to do so, meaning the books and the connection with a group,  are also utilizing that same Light, which exists between the special souls and which can also shine for others.

This is exactly how adults take care of children. In advance, they develop all the necessary conditions for them to operate in this world. The little one aspires toward the grown-ups and wants to join them, to learn from them; this is how he grows.

A question I received: Why do you liken a Kabbalah book to a magic book?

My Answer: We perceive ourselves as living in a body, in the world. There is an object before us that appears to us as a book. Inside of the book we see symbols that appear to us as letters, but we don’t know the essence of things and events.

A Kabbalah book is a magic book because if I meet certain conditions, I obtain a magic result, a miracle: revelation of the Upper World!

I was given a sort of device that I don’t comprehend and with which I am not familiar. My eyes, my mind and the book, together turn out to be a marvelous apparatus that has links leading directly to the Upper World and to a different reality.

A question I received: Is it possible to solve humanity’s problems without involving the science of Kabbalah, but merely through humanity’s realization of the need to unite and to create organizations like the European Union or a world government?

My Answer: Suppose we start convincing ourselves and others that we must unite as one man in one heart, so that everything is shared by everyone. Can we reach such a goal? We could not do any better than what was done in Nazi Germany or Communist Russia.

This is why the Kabbalists warn that in order for the world to change we must draw the correcting force. In other words, the correction of the world is only possible with the help of Kabbalah revealing the higher force to the world. With the help of this Upper Force, the world can come to the correct condition.

That is why it’s not worthwhile to wait for governments or G20 summits to find a solution. No one has a solution. As the world continues to develop, it will come to understand that it does not have the means for salvation. We will disseminate the science of Kabbalah while humanity, in the process of its development, pursuits and innumerable pretexts discovers that there is no solution and that the world is on the brink of destruction. It is precisely on the edge of this precipice that we, Kabbalists, will come together with the world.
