A question I received: Such notions as “God” or “universal force of nature” don’t interest ordinary people. How can we fit such lofty and global concepts into people’s lives in the 21st century? People do not feel the need for the universal force of nature or its revelation within them.

My Answer: That is not true. We have reached a state today where we all depend upon one another; we are like cogwheels tightly fit together into one system which is currently in opposition to Nature. This is a huge concern because it is the single cause of today’s crises. These crises won’t pass but will continue to escalate thereby demonstrating their effects on an ever growing scale.

This is why a person who doesn’t yet feel that his connection with the world and humanity is opposed to Nature, will discover it either with the help of our explanation or through blows. And even the “smallest” person, seemingly indifferent to all of this, will have to recognize that the way he treats other people puts him either into opposition or in agreement with the balance of Nature.

Each person will need to learn this natural law of balance because without this knowledge, he won’t be able to correct his life. One needs to consider the general system, recognizing and understanding that all of humanity is interconnected, and that mechanical actions won’t correct his soul.

Once a person hears the explanation and understands that his connection with humanity determines his success, his life, his family, health, security, pension, work, etc., he will ask: “How can this be done? How can I correct myself?” Then he is ripe to receive the method of correction.

A question I received: Are you saying that any utilization of science disturbs the balance with nature? For instance, naturopathy is based on harmony with nature, on using natural remedies, – so how can it hurt nature?

My Answer: The point is not whether or not we use helpful or harmful substances. After all, all medicinal remedies are essentially poisons. The symbol of medicine is a poisonous snake, i.e. the most harmful creature in Nature. But while poison is deadly for a healthy body, it turns into medicine for an ailing body. It’s all about how we use what we take from Nature. Even the most helpful substances cause harm when used egoistically.

Therefore, it’s the intention of our actions that counts: for the benefit of humanity (Nature) or for one’s own benefit. You cannot simultaneously have both. It all depends on what lies at the foundation of your actions: egoism or love of others.

In the News (translated from Naukanews): Abnormal behavior of the Sun, observed in recent years, doesn’t fit any of the existing models and is fraught with unpredictable consequences. The anomaly seems endless. We see increasing evidence of fundamental misunderstanding by modern science of processes happening in stars in general and in the Sun, in particular.

My Comment: Man, as the highest being of Nature, influences the behavior of the still, vegetative and animate levels of Nature with his desires and thoughts. The behavior of the Sun and Nature as a whole are rooted in man’s behavior – therefore, we shouldn’t expect good results!

A question I received: You said that Baal HaSulam completely overturned how the science of Kabbalah was disseminated and directed it to a completely new level. Must dissemination come to a new level in our time also?

My Answer: As opposed to all Kabbalists before him, Baal HaSulam elevated Kabbalah to the level of a modern scientific method. He described it in modern language and as such, he gave us the opportunity to use it to change the world.

We have come to the complete destruction of the previous social system but still don’t know how to build a new system. It is this state of not knowing that could lead us into a world war.

This is why the science of Kabbalah is being revealed now.  It explains how we can correct all of what was built on the basis of human egoism. The only thing we have to do is to fulfill the method that will allow us to build new, appropriate connections between us. Then we will be aligned to the new integral, global world.

A question I received: What does it mean to reveal Nature?

My Answer: To reveal Nature means to reveal the general law of Nature in which we are included and to reveal ourselves at a different stage.  In other words, it means to reveal reality in its true form, as opposed to its perception in our five corporeal senses. In that sense, we are no different that animals.

What makes us different from animals today is our egoistic desire to use all of Nature for our own benefit, the petty and narrow profit. But we have to learn to rise above this egoistic force that is within us all.

If we turn this egoistic force into a force of bestowal and love of our  neighbor, we will rise above our nature, attain bestowal, and become similar to the Creator, which is the general and the Upper Force of Nature. It is called “to reveal the Creator” in everyone. By that, one reveals the Upper Quality of bestowal in oneself and reaches an eternal and perfect life, as the Creator and as all of Nature.

Even when one loses his material animate body, he does not feel that he lacks for something, because this corporeal life is the smallest, worst and most insignificant form of life.

Rabash used an example of cutting the hair or nails.  Because the hair and nails represent the vegetative part on the animate part of the body, a person does not feel pain when he cuts them because the vegetative part is one level below the animate.

In the same way, when we rise above the animate level of Nature to the level of the Creator, we will stop perceiving the loss of our material life as an important and meaningful event.  But, until we have risen to this higher degree, we will continue to attach importance to it.

Once we rise to this next higher degree, we will realize that the only reason for us to remain in this life will be for the necessity of disseminating the knowledge of Kabbalah and the need for bestowal, in which case this opportunity will still exist. If this was not necessary and our corporeal body was to die, we would feel its death no more than what we feel when we cut our nails or hair.

While in New York, I visited with Amit Goswami, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus of theoretical physics at the University of Oregon and a member of its Institute of Theoretical Science.

In recent years, Dr. Goswami and other revolutionary scientists have ventured into the domain of the spiritual in an attempt both to interpret the seemingly inexplicable findings of their experiments… and to validate their intuitions about the existence of a spiritual dimension of life.

A prolific writer, teacher and visionary… Dr. Goswami has appeared in the movies What the Bleep do We Know?, The Dalai Lama Renaissance, and the just released documentary The Quantum Activist.

He is a pioneer of a self-styled multidisciplinary scientific paradigm called “science within consciousness.” He authored the very popular textbook entitled Quantum Mechanics,  which is used by many universities the world over. His two-volume work entitled The Physicist’s View of Nature studies the fall and re-emergence of the idea of God in science.

Dr. Goswami has also penned many popular books stemming from his research in quantum physics and consciousness: The Self-Aware Universe, The Visionary Window, Physics of the Soul, Quantum Creativity and The Quantum Doctor. In his latest book God is Not Dead he discusses what quantum physics says about our roots, and how we should lead our lives.

After being around for over 200 years, modern schools are experiencing a deep crisis which has been unfolding over the last few decades. Schools must become places where the environment is enjoyable as it was in the past. The word “school” translates from ancient Greek as “leisure,” which is a pleasant way to spend time.

A person cannot develop in an environment of oppression, as it causes a person to constrict and close himself off from others.  This is precisely the environment that schools present to students today. Freedom is necessary for a child to open himself up and find his own place and purpose in the world so that he is able to make these important choices and decisions in an independent manner.

This is why we have to help our children develop without any sort of limitations. Each one has to be completely free inwardly and educated by society. Children will naturally educate each other within the group to which they belong, and the group will take care of those that are its members.  The role of teachers is to organize the group.  Society will monitor the groups, since society creates order and will not allow any person or group to do whatever he pleases, as each and every one will want to be a member of that society.

According to the science of Kabbalah, this is the most favorable method of societal organization that is conducive to the correct human development. Under such conditions, the presence of parents, teachers and other adults should not be noticeable and should not be felt by the children. This method will give each child the best opportunity to develop himself to his own potential.

A question I received: You speak of the correction of humankind. But what is happening with the correction on the vegetative and the animate levels of nature? How can they be brought to unity with the Creator?

My Answer: Man’s egoism is the sole cause of all evil. The proper interaction of man with Nature refers to man taking from Nature only what is necessary for his ordinary existence, according to his custom, but not more. Everything beyond what is needed for normal existence belongs to everyone.

This rule is similar to the connection among the parts of a living organism: the heart, the lungs, the liver, the kidneys, and all other parts of the body receive energy for their livelihood. Yet none of them consume more than necessary to exist and perform their function in the organism which is to benefit the whole.

This is also how we should behave in society – our organism. If one person consumes more than necessary, it is harmful to him as well as to everyone else. Consuming more than what’s necessary is called the ego.

We need to learn from the inanimate, vegetative, and animate levels of nature how to be in harmony with Nature on the level of the “human being.”

A person needs a family, home, work, income, vacation, pension, and insurance. However, taking anything beyond what is necessary destroys the world as this brings it out of balance with Nature. In any case, Nature will still force us to come into balance with it.

A question I received: What does Kabbalah say about the year 2012 which many claim will bring about important phenomena?

My Answer: Kabbalah has nothing to say about this. Baal HaSulam used to say that beginning in 1995 Kabbalah would be revealed to the whole world and that people would begin to demand it, realizing that it is meant to correct life.

The placement of the stars and other signs in Nature point to the fact that various processes may occur. However, Kabbalah does not discuss them, not because it doesn’t believe in them, but because everything depends upon our actions, our correction. Everything that happens in the future, be it positive or negative, depends upon what we do at each given moment.

Therefore, at every given moment one must strive to bring the whole world to complete correction, thereby determining his future, including the year 2012.

All the prophets and oracles speak of the world’s advancement toward its goal via the path of Nature meaning through suffering and without man’s participation. However, a person has the capability to change everything. Consider that all the signs that we perceive with regard to the future pertain to the inanimate level of Nature. But we are three steps above that (inanimate – vegetative – animate – human), and it is within our power to be above the stars and their signs.

Kabbalah teaches us the ability to completely control our fate, abolishing any dangers from Nature on any of its levels! In fact, this is how we realize our freedom of will.

A question I received: How do you picture the next blow?

My Answer: All the prophets spoke exclusively about our time. None of them described their contemporary epoch. All their predictions refer to the time when humanity would begin to unite. This is because our only opportunity to realize our freedom of will lies specifically in this action. At all other times and in all other actions, we are robots.

If we refuse to realize (to correct) ourselves, suffering (catastrophes, misfortunes, epidemics) are in store for us, in accordance with our common ego. Kabbalah discusses the possibility of a world nuclear war if we fail to reach a proper connection among ourselves. It is the same egoistic connection between people that manifests as their illnesses, wars, and other misfortunes.

Personally, I am confident that, with the opportunities that are available to us now, we will make it on time. We will be balancing during a dangerous state, but it will turn into a corrected one.
