A question I received: If we convince the whole world to play a game for one day where everyone will do nothing but bestow, then humanity would feel the flavor of bestowal. Would this action draw enough Light to correct us?

My Answer: Any doctor knows that there is almost no medicine that can cure a person immediately. This can only happen by virtue of a miracle, but not a man-made medicine.

A person could drink a drop of poison and die, or he can use it to create a medicine. It is no coincidence that the symbol of medicine is a snake. It is a known fact that every medicine is poison, but not every poison is medicine. When poison is used as medicine, it is taken in very small dosages and over the course of a long time, until a person is cured. This is the law of correcting the animate body, and the same law holds for correcting the soul.

Why is it that a person can die instantly from taking a drop of poison, but he has to take it for months in order to be cured? This is the consequence of a spiritual process: the breaking of the unified soul into parts. This breaking was carried out from above, and therefore it is instant, whereas the correction, the re-unification, and the cure occurs slowly, depending on us.

Why did the breaking of our souls and the need for correction occur even before we came to this world? It happened so that in the process of our correction we would elucidate the cause, the process and the goal of creation, thereby forming ourselves in similarity to the Creator, the Upper Force of Nature.

And since a person had to reach similarity to the Creator (who is called in Hebrew Bore = Bo – come, and Re - see), this process takes so much time, namely 6000 years, from the first attainment made by Adam, to the last one.

A question I received: A lack of balance is obvious when looking at people who consume more than the necessary for a normal existence. But how can you say this of a person who barely makes it from one paycheck to the next?

My Answer: He is also not in balance. There are seven billion people inhabiting the earth, of which 50% are hungry and 40% don’t have enough for normal sustenance. Only half a billion people are happy with their material lifestyle. However, they are precisely the ones who experience depression, take drugs, end up divorcing, committing suicide, and so on.

Perfection descends to us from the World of Infinity, and the only way we can reach it is by rising to that spiritual level. This is realistic and attainable, and Nature is pushing us toward it. And the method of attaining the perfect state is being revealed to you – it is the science of Kabbalah!

What does it mean to be a guarantor? If I am someone’s guarantor, then if that person breaks the law, the authorities can come to me and put me in jail instead of him, because I have taken on the obligation to be that person’s guarantor!

Or let’s say that person doesn’t pay off a loan that he took out from the bank. Without even talking to him, the bank can demand the loan payment from me. That’s the law of mutual guarantee in action. It is Nature’s unbreakable law that binds us together, and we can’t run away from it.

How unfair, how cunningly devious and cruel it is for Nature to put people who hate each other in a closed space and give them horrible desires and impulses. And then to go and punish one person instead of the other! If we could actually feel this law, we would literally burst with indignation.

Moreover, I may be held responsible not only for the consequence of someone else’s actions, but for the fact that he committed them in the first place. In other words, the fact that someone destroys, murders, steals and rapes is my fault, and that’s why it is just to demand compensation from me and to punish me. The guarantee is not that you have to compensate the damage done by someone else, but that you have to guarantee that his deeds will be good. And if he acted poorly, that means I was an accomplice to his actions.

It turns out that by making any small transgression, I cause the misdoings of many people around the world. And this will definitely come back to me – I will be punished. We can’t even imagine how absolutely the law of mutual guarantee envelops us and works without our consent. It is everywhere – even in our thoughts, intentions and actions.

Each one of us is “guiding” others throughout their lives, similar to a puppet master who leads and controls the puppet. However, none of us feels that he is the one who leads and is being led. If we would see our mutual dependence, we would lose our freedom of will and become robots. This is why our universal mutual connection is concealed from us and is being revealed gradually, to the extent we can bear it and turn it into a positive one.

How can we make it positive? It is done by each one of us connecting to other people. However, this shouldn’t be done out of fear or because of pressure, but out of our own, free desire to give and to love others.

A question I received: Why can’t people develop the instinct of love for their neighbor just like animals do while under the pressure of difficult circumstances and suffering? This seems to be the most natural and evolutionary path of development.

My Answer: You’re right: if people were on the same level of development as animals, they really would be able to develop the same kind of instinct as bees, ants, and human cells. For example, a single cell in a body is able to sense that if it doesn’t unite with another cell, and then with a third cell, and a fourth cell, it loses out on the force of life. In other words, two cells that are separated go through the realization of evil and reach the realization, “We should unite in order to live longer and better.”

In the process of uniting, the cells come to understand the benefit of the unification to a greater extent, and they then begin to separate according to each cell’s “specialization”: some cells become the heart, others become the lungs, others – the brain, yet none of the organs can exist separately. Each organ is certain that the others will take care of it.

In the past, a cell could exist on its own, completely alone. However, as the cells united, they discovered that specialization gives rise to a higher form of existence. And in order for this to happen, each cell must reject its personal life and begin to live the life of the whole organism.

This way, the cell literally entrusts its life to the other cells. It gives its life over to them because by specializing to become an eye cell, for example, it stops carrying out the other functions. It trusts another cell to be its heart, and another cell to be its brain, and another cell to be the lungs.

And  what role do the lungs play? They breathe for the whole body, but actually they practically don’t need oxygen for themselves. They do it because the whole body needs the oxygen to exist. And the other cells have absolute faith that the lungs will provide them with oxygen, because they are all in a mutual guarantee!

This is how stem cells (small, universal cells) became cells of different types – of the brain, lungs, heart, and so on. And that is how organs formed and living organisms began to develop.

Biologists believe that this happened “on its own.” But in reality, this process happened because of the revelation of “Reshimot” (informational genes), which are implanted in creation from the beginning and are revealed in a specific order. According to them, we must now consciously achieve the same kind of unity in human society.

A question I received: I have always been a good, responsible worker, but I was recently fired from my job. I have no money, but I have to feed my family. So who’s to blame for all of this: my own ego? And what should I do now?

My Answer: There is a reason for the situation in the world today. Everything is developing purposefully. Nature has a plan, and currently it is making all the people in the world, in every country, be afflicted by blows. These blows are not coming down on us randomly, because everything that happens to every person is purposeful and thought out. We are all interconnected inside a global network, where there is a place and a program for every person.

Therefore, it does you no good to simply complain about being fired and ask, “What should I do now?” The circumstances require you to gain awareness and understanding. This is what you have to focus on, and if you do, your situation will improve.

However, you are not the only one who does not understand what is happening. Just look at how the whole world is reacting to the current crisis: everyone is simply running away from the unpleasant situation toward something that appears better. The “bubbles” they created have burst, so now they are creating new ones. This is why the stock market keeps rising and growing. How else could it be rising if people are being fired, the industries and production are coming to a standstill, and trade is winding down?

Hence, it is obvious that today we are being lied to two-fold. It’s as if we have taken a pill to reduce our fever and we think that we are already cured. We see the stocks rising and think that everything is okay. People have comforted themselves, but in actuality it’s like taking a drug. For now everything seems alright.

But our situation is like a person who’s falling off a roof top, and someone asks him, “How are you doing?” And he replies, “Just fine – I’m still alive.”

Notwithstanding, people are scared inside. But a person cannot live in constant fear; he has to compensate for it in some way. There is nothing we can do until people will figure out why this situation is happening, what is the cause of the “illness” and how it is progressing. That is how they will find the way to cure it.

This illness can go on for many years if we don’t begin treating it. But when we do begin, then everything will happen quickly and easily. The remedy exists – it is the method of correcting man’s nature, known as “Kabbalah.”

In the News (from The American Physiological Society): “Mouse Aging Study: It’s Better to Go Hungry than Go Running” A study investigating aging in mice has found that hormonal changes that occur when mice eat significantly less may help explain an already established phenomenon: a low calorie diet can extend the lifespan of rodents, a benefit that even regular exercise does not achieve. Overall, these findings indicate that the physiological stress of exercise did not produce enough damage to tissues or DNA to explain why exercise does not lengthen life span. Instead, the study suggests that caloric restriction creates beneficial changes in the body’s hormone levels which exercise does not.

My Comment: People have observed these facts for a long time, and now they are also explained by science.

In the News (from AFP): “Sleep more to slim down, scientists say” “More sleep could be the ideal way of stabilizing weight or slimming,” said neuro-scientist Karine Spiegel, of France’s INSERM, a public organization dedicated to biological, medical and public health research. Two key hormones produced at night, which help regulate appetite, were at play, she said. Grehlin makes people hungry, slows metabolism and decreases the body’s ability to burn body fat, and leptin, a protein hormone produced by fatty tissue, regulates fat storage.

Conclusion: Eat less and sleep more!

The Creator is the quality of bestowal that is revealed in a person’s corrected desire, in his intention to bestow. Our only task is to develop this intention to bestow by connecting among us. Then, we will reveal the Creator – the quality of bestowal and love found within this connection.

In Hebrew, the Creator is called Boreh, which is composed of the words Bo and Reh – “come” and “see.” What does this mean? “To come” means to change one’s desire from reception to bestowal. Then the desire to bestow that one has attained (or the desire to bestow in order bestow, Galgalta Einaim) and love (receiving in order to bestow, AHP) becomes his attainment and revelation of the Creator.

Stated differently, the Creator is the force that connects us to each other. Therefore, the connection between us is what reveals the Creator to us. If we connect through mutual love, then we will sense the force of bestowal inside us. This is the force of the Creator that is revealed between us.

The Creator is the force that connects us to each other. The Upper Light has endowed us with the power to bestow to each other, and by bestowing to each other and getting to know this Upper Force, we attain the Creator. How does this happen?

By bestowing to each other, we attain the quality of bestowal, and thus we attain the source of the bestowing force, because it contains its higher origin, Keter. This is how the Creator becomes revealed in us, or in our desire. He is revealed in the upper part of the Kli, which is why the revelation is called “a revelation from above.” The revelation happens in Keter with regard to the lower part of the Kli, Malchut.

For this reason, Kabbalists named Him “Bo-reh” – “Come and see.” When one ascends from below upwards by means of the Reflected Light, one ascends from one’s nature – “the will to receive” to the Creator’s nature – “bestowal.” One then attains the complete ten Sefirot of the Direct Light. One attains the Creator’s attitude to him as well as the Creator Himself – the root of everything.

It turns out that aside from one’s soul (which consists of 10 Sefirot), there is nothing else to reveal. This is all that was created, and one senses the Creator within this creation.

In the News (from Yahoo News): “US votes for 9/11-style commission to probe financial crisis” US lawmakers voted Wednesday to create a 9/11-style commission of experts to probe the causes of last year’s devastating financial meltdown and to draw lessons to prevent its recurrence. The commission would have a wide-ranging remit to examine the role of US regulators and the Federal Reserve.

My Comment: No commission will be able to find out what the cause of the crisis is, because the cause is inside all of us. It lies in our relationships, which have become interconnected; but because they are egoistic (since egoism is our nature), the interconnection is a negative one . The network of our egoistic relationships is invisible to us. We don’t feel that it exists and obliges us to act a certain way. This is why everyone is still trying to guess what the cause of the crisis is.

My Suggestion: Let’s “attack” (influence) this commission with our thoughts, our desires for the true cause of the crisis to be revealed. This is an action all of us can take together. In addition, I propose to create a document called, “The true cause of the crisis and the proposal for its correction,” and to send it to this commission. It will attract attention if it is signed by thousands of our friends. Perhaps we can send it to this commission through the media, as an open letter.

A question I received: The world is going through drastic changes lately. Do these changes have an effect on the still and vegetative levels of Nature?

My Answer: What we see is but a small portion of what is going on in the world. In reality, there are various species of plants, fish, birds and animals going extinct. Why is this happening?

The world is whole and integral and all of its parts are interconnected. Therefore, even the smallest change that occurs in this unified, interconnected system causes changes in the whole of Nature’s organism.

This is analogous to a body where a small injury is felt by the whole body, and the body’s vital functions immediately respond by isolating the injured part.

Similarly, the world crisis is a consequence of human activity, since man has the greatest power of all other parts of nature. He incorporates the whole world and is therefore capable of changing it.

The world is built like a pyramid, comprised of the still, vegetative, animate and human levels (from the bottom up). The sum total of all the still objects is equal to one object or representative of the vegetative level; the sum total of all the vegetative objects is equal to just one element of the animate level; and the entire animate level is equal to one person. So just imagine how much greater is the force of the Upper Degree compared to the lower degree, since just one of its elements is greater than everything in the lower degree!

Therefore, one negative thought or one small negative desire of man has a negative – and a thousand times more potent – impact on all the lower degrees.
